A possible photo of a new BlackBerry device which some have called it a Storm3 has been floating around the past few days. BerryReview posted a picture the other day of a possible BlackBerry Storm3. Some of the information they have says it will have a 3.7 inch screen and the device will have 8Gb of internal memory. If you notice from the picture the device is also sporting a trackpad.

So Storm3 or not?

If you remember sometime back that bbleaks posted a patent for a horizontal slider (see picture below), now if you remember they were saying that RIM was working on on two different versions. One of them we now know as the BlackBerry Torch.

Now why do I think that this is not a picture of a BlackBerry Storm3?

Well the first give away is the presence of a trackpad on the device. This not apart of the other two versions of the BlackBerry Storm line nor does it appear on the unreleased Odin refresh(due out sometime later this year), but the trackpad is on the BlackBerry Torch.

The next thing that appears not to be there is the SurePress screen which is definitely a feature of the Storm line. In the picture there seems to be no gaps around the screen of the device,  and I believe that some sort of SurePress would still have to be apart of the Storm line.

Now the third thing that stands out to me is the bottom of the device, if you look at the photo closely you notice that there seems to be a line or separation on the device. Could that possibly be two half’s of a horizontal slider keyboard? They would need a bit more room to fit a perfect size keyboard and house the slider mechanism, and 3.7 inches could give them the room needed.

As of right now or until other pictures surface of this device it does not look like a Storm3, but more in line of a horizontal slider.

So what do you think, Slider or Storm3?
