Japan's NTT Docomo has released OS 5.0.0.1014 as an official OS for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. I am surprised that there has been no BlackBerry 6 releases yet from the carriers since there have been leaked versions for several of the devices. Since all of these higher builds of OS 5 keep coming out one has to wonder if the carriers will ever release BlackBerry 6 for them at all.
It is always recommended that you backup your phones data with the BlackBerry Desktop Software before installing a new operating system.
