storm3 251x300 Possible Storm3 Picture?, Maybe Not

A possible photo of a new BlackBerry device which some have called it a Storm3 has been floating around the past few days. BerryReview posted a picture the other day of a possible BlackBerry Storm3. Some of the information they have says it will have a 3.7 inch screen and the device will have 8Gb of internal memory. If you notice from the picture the device is also sporting a trackpad.

rim surfbook cipo SurfBook trademark filed by RIM — Name for BlackBerry Tablet?

It appears that Research In Motion has filed a trademark for the name ‘SurfBook’ back in early August. So far there appears to be no patents that I can find under the same name filed by RIM. RIM does seem to have a habit of grabbing names and sorting it all out later to see what best fits their marketing strategy.

Remember back when everyone was buzzing about the name ‘BlackPad’. Whatever the name of the new BlackBerry Tablet will end up being, I am starting to have doubts that it will even be released by the end of the year as some have speculated. We should have seen some sort of solid details leak out by now if they were going to launch the device by years end. So we will just have to wait a bit longer and see if either of the names tossed out there stick and for more details to emerge.

What are your thoughts on the name ‘SurfBook’?

RIM Introduces the BlackBerry Storm2 Smartphone in Australia and New Zealand Is the Storm3 on Hold for LTE?

GizmoFusion.com is reporting that the BlackBerry Storm3 release date may be pushed back some because of the Verizon’s LTE launch. There are two rumored launch dates being floated around. One being May 2011 around the time of the RIM’s annual WES conference, and the other date is November 2011. Why the two dates? Apparently it all depends on how well Verizon’s LTE roll out goes.
