RIM’s Co-CEO Mike Lazaridis gave a demo of the BlackBerry PlayBook for All Things Digital. In the demo Lazaridis commented on the fact that the BlackBerry PlayBook will be more powerful than the iPad. Other than that there is really no new information about the device. I cannot wait till this device finally comes out.

Well it looks like Big Red my be ready to start releasing BlackBerry 6 for the Bold 9650 and the Curve 9330 if this flyer is any indication. We know that there have been two new BlackBerry 6 leaks for both devices recently, and we have to wonder if a release will be imminent.

A 6 minute video of Mike Lazaridis demonstrating the BlackBerry PlayBook at the Dive into Mobile Conference has been posted. There is nothing really new here on the BlackBerry PlayBook, just a slightly different demo of what we have pretty much seen before and not any new details other than during the conference it was mentioned that RIM may be working on different sizes of the BlackBerry PlayBook.

Turkish carrier AVEA has made OS 6.0.0.359 official for the BlackBerry Bold 9780 which is the same version that was leaked last month. If you want to load this up on your Bold 9780 remember to delete your vendor.xml if you are not an AVEA customer.
Rogers just announced that the BlackBerry PlayBook will be released “early next year”, says John Boynton of Rogers. The announcement came during Rogers TabLife event this morning. There was no mention of pricing or exact release date. More to come as we get more details.
