The last leak for the Curve 8520 was 5.0.0.1022 which came out mid November. No reports on what is new or fixed yet in 5.0.0.1036, but if your ready to load up a newer OS hit the links below. Remember to back up your data and delete the vendor.xml before loading this up.

Another 5.0.0.1022 build has been leaked out, this one is for the BlackBerry Curve 8520. It really does seem like RIM is pushing out newer releases for their older devices that will not get BlackBerry 6. Now its in the hands of the carriers to push out official releases. Well it looks like RIM is still pushing OS updates for the BlackBerry Curve 8530. Bell Mobility has officially released version 5.0.0.1000 for the Curve 8530. It is surprising to see a release version in the thousand range, but the last leak for the Storm2 9550 was .1015.

 

It is always recommended that you backup your phones data with the BlackBerry Desktop Software before installing a new operating system.
